DeMinds Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 10, 2026
DeMinds is a local-first tool for organizing knowledge and structuring files. The DeMinds App is currently published by the individual developer identified on its App Store product page, referred to below as the “App Publisher.” The DeMinds product website, user guides, support resources, and related operational support are provided by Suzhou Diandi Network Co., Ltd., referred to below as the “Operations Support Provider.” We believe that your documents, mind maps, notes, and knowledge assets should remain under your control.
This Privacy Policy explains how the DeMinds App handles your files and data, and how the Operations Support Provider handles information that you voluntarily submit through support channels.
1. Core Principles
DeMinds follows these privacy principles:
- No DeMinds account registration is required.
- Your knowledge content is not collected or stored through DeMinds-operated servers.
- Your documents, mind maps, Markdown files, and Workspace content are not uploaded to DeMinds servers.
- Your personal data is not sold or rented, and it is not shared with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes.
- DeMinds does not use in-app data to track you across apps or websites.
- DeMinds does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
- Files and web content are primarily parsed, organized, and converted on your device.
In short, DeMinds is not designed to take ownership of your data. It is designed to help you turn your own content into a more maintainable knowledge structure.
2. Data DeMinds Does Not Collect
Except for information that you voluntarily submit to the Operations Support Provider through support channels, the DeMinds App does not receive, centrally collect, or retain the following information through an account system, analytics service, or DeMinds-operated server:
- Name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Contacts
- Precise location
- Browsing history used to build a user profile
- Usernames or passwords for third-party websites
- Document contents
- Mind map contents
- Markdown contents
- Contents of imported or exported files
- Usage data for advertising or tracking purposes
DeMinds does not require you to sign in and does not store your knowledge files through DeMinds-operated servers.
When you choose to open a third-party web page, the destination website may receive information necessary to serve that page under its own practices. See “7. Web Links and Web Import Preview” for details.
3. How Your Files Are Processed
DeMinds can open, parse, convert, edit, and export common file types, including:
- Markdown
- MindNode
- XMind
- FreeMind
- DOCX
- HTML / HTM
- TXT
- Compatible ZIP packages
These files are processed primarily on your device. DeMinds does not upload your documents, mind maps, Markdown files, Workspace content, or exported files to DeMinds servers.
When you choose to import web content, the generated Markdown, source information, and related assets are also saved to the Workspace location you select.
4. Local Storage and Workspaces
To provide features such as Continue Working, local Workspaces, and interface state restoration, DeMinds may store certain data locally on your device, including:
- Information about recently opened Workspaces
- Local Workspace indexes
- Editing state
- File references
- User preferences
- Interface settings
- Locally generated working files
- Source links, titles, authors, or source information retained in content you choose to import
This information is used only to provide core App functionality. It is not used for advertising, tracking, or third-party analytics.
You can remove content by deleting the corresponding files from your Workspace. Deleting the DeMinds App and its data removes local data stored in the App’s container on that device. On iPhone and iPad, the system option “Offload App” retains documents and data and is not the same as “Delete App.”
Workspace files stored in iCloud Drive or another external file location are not automatically removed when you delete the App. You must delete those files separately from the relevant storage location.
5. About iCloud Drive
If you choose to use iCloud Drive, related files may be synced between your devices through Apple iCloud.
Please note:
- iCloud Drive is provided by Apple, not by DeMinds.
- DeMinds does not operate its own cloud storage service for documents.
- DeMinds does not control your Apple ID, iCloud storage, or Apple’s data handling practices.
- Your use of iCloud Drive is governed by Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
DeMinds aims to leave the storage choice to you. Depending on your needs, you can use local device storage or an iCloud Workspace.
6. Use of System Permissions
DeMinds may request system permissions when needed to perform an action that you initiate.
File Access
Used to open, import, export, save, or manage files that you select.
Clipboard Access
Used only when you choose to paste or import content from the clipboard.
iCloud Drive or System File Picker
Used only when you choose to open, save, import, export, or manage files through the system file interface.
DeMinds does not use these permissions to build a user profile, and it does not upload content accessed through these permissions to DeMinds servers.
7. Web Links and Web Import Preview
When you choose to open or import a web link, the system WebKit framework connects directly from your device to the destination website and the resources required by the page. These requests do not pass through a DeMinds-operated server or a third-party proxy server.
The destination website, its service providers, and third-party services called by the page may receive your IP address, browser or device information, cookies, sign-in status, and web request information. They process this data under their own terms and privacy policies. DeMinds does not control how these third parties process data.
Web Import Preview uses the system WebKit framework to open pages. To help you access websites that require sign-in, WebKit may store website data on your device, including cookies, caches, local storage, and session state. This data is kept in the web data space used by DeMinds and is not guaranteed to be shared or synchronized with Safari.
DeMinds does not upload usernames or passwords that you enter on third-party websites, or third-party website cookies, access tokens, sign-in credentials, visited URLs, or page content, to DeMinds servers. Neither the App Publisher nor the Operations Support Provider receives or retains this information through DeMinds-operated servers.
While Web Import Preview is open, the system WebKit framework loads and renders the page normally. Only after you explicitly tap “Import” does the DeMinds import process read the current page content, generate an import result on your device, and write that result to the Workspace you selected. Closing or cancelling Web Import Preview does not write the current page to your Workspace. After Web Import Preview is closed, DeMinds does not continue extracting that page for import purposes.
An import result may include the page body, original link, page title, author, publication date, and source information. If you use an iCloud Workspace, these files may be synced through Apple iCloud as described in Section 5.
Website data such as cookies, caches, local storage, and session state may remain in the web data space used by DeMinds. You can sign out on the destination website, but signing out may not clear caches, local storage, or other website data. Signing out of Safari or clearing Safari website data is also not guaranteed to affect the web data space used by DeMinds.
To remove local website data stored in the DeMinds App container on that device, you can delete the DeMinds App and its data. On iPhone and iPad, using only “Offload App” retains documents and data and does not have the same effect. Deleting the App does not automatically delete Workspace files stored in iCloud Drive or another external file location.
Import only content that you are legally authorized to access and may use for personal organization. Importing content into DeMinds does not grant permission to reproduce, share, publish, or commercially use that content. The DeMinds web import feature is not intended to circumvent sign-in requirements, paywalls, CAPTCHAs, or other access controls.
8. In-App Purchases
DeMinds may offer optional paid features or subscriptions through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
Payments, billing, refunds, subscription management, and purchase records are handled by Apple. The DeMinds App may use purchase or subscription status provided by Apple on your device to determine feature entitlements, but DeMinds does not receive or store your bank card, credit card, or other payment credential information.
9. Third-Party Components
DeMinds may use open-source or third-party software components for functions such as file parsing, Markdown rendering, document conversion, interface display, or structured visualization.
These components run as part of the App. Their use does not mean that the App Publisher or Operations Support Provider receives or centrally collects your personal data through those components.
If DeMinds introduces a third-party service that collects personal data in the future, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated accordingly.
10. Advertising, Tracking, and Data Sales
DeMinds does not display third-party advertising.
DeMinds does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
DeMinds does not use in-app data to track you across apps or websites.
DeMinds does not sell personal data.
DeMinds does not use personal data to build advertising profiles.
11. Children’s Privacy
DeMinds is a general-purpose productivity tool and is not specifically designed for children.
DeMinds does not provide child-focused accounts, user profiles, or targeted advertising features, and it does not knowingly collect children’s personal data through App features, DeMinds-operated servers, or third-party analytics services.
Whether a third-party website is appropriate for children, and how it handles data from visits, is determined by that website under its own terms and privacy policy.
12. Data Security and User Responsibilities
DeMinds follows a local-first design. Your data is primarily protected by:
- Your device’s security mechanisms
- The operating system sandbox
- System file permissions
- The storage location you select
- Apple iCloud Drive, if you choose to use it
You should protect your device, Apple ID, third-party website accounts, and important files, and maintain backups of important materials.
We also recommend enabling system-level security features such as a device passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID.
13. Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in product functionality, legal requirements, or operations.
If a material change occurs, we will update the “Last updated” date shown on this page. An updated Privacy Policy takes effect on the date indicated on the page.
If a change requires separate notice or consent under applicable requirements, we will provide the appropriate notice or choice.
14. Contact and Support Information
The DeMinds App is published by the App Publisher. The DeMinds product website, user guides, support resources, and related operational support are provided by the Operations Support Provider.
