DeMinds is designed as a local-first productivity application for organizing, converting, and maintaining knowledge files such as Markdown, mind maps, documents, and related structured content.
We believe your documents and knowledge should remain under your control. This Privacy Policy explains what data DeMinds collects, how your files are processed, and how your information is protected.
1. Summary
DeMinds does not collect personal data from you.
DeMinds does not sell, rent, or share your personal data.
DeMinds does not track you across apps or websites.
DeMinds does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
Your imported documents and generated content are processed locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to store or sync them through services such as iCloud Drive.
2. Information We Collect
DeMinds does not collect personal data through the app.
We do not collect:
- Your name
- Email address
- Phone number
- Account information
- Contact list
- Precise location
- Browsing history
- Document contents
- Imported files
- Mind map contents
- Markdown contents
- Usage analytics for advertising or tracking purposes
DeMinds does not require user registration or sign-in.
3. Document and File Processing
DeMinds allows you to import, open, parse, convert, edit, preview, and export supported file types, including Markdown, MindNode, XMind, FreeMind, DOCX, HTML, TXT, and compatible ZIP bundles.
These files are processed locally on your device.
DeMinds does not upload your documents, mind maps, Markdown files, imported files, exported files, or workspace contents to our servers.
DeMinds does not operate its own cloud storage service for your documents.
4. Local Storage
DeMinds may store app-related data locally on your device, including:
- Recently opened workspace information
- Local workspace indexes
- Editing state
- File references
- User preferences
- Interface settings
- Locally generated working files
This information is used only to provide core app functionality, such as continuing previous work, managing local files, and restoring your workspace state.
You can remove app data by deleting files from your workspace, clearing app data where available, or uninstalling the app from your device.
5. iCloud Drive
If you choose to use iCloud Drive with DeMinds, your files may be stored and synced through Apple iCloud under your Apple ID.
iCloud syncing is provided by Apple, not by DeMinds.
DeMinds does not control Apple iCloud storage, Apple ID settings, or Apple’s data handling practices. Your use of iCloud Drive is subject to Apple’s terms and privacy policy.
You may choose whether to use local device storage or iCloud Drive, depending on the storage options available in the app.
6. System Permissions
DeMinds may request access to certain system capabilities when needed for app functionality.
These may include:
File Access
Used to open, import, export, save, or manage files selected by you.
Clipboard Access
Used only when you choose to paste or import content from the clipboard.
iCloud Drive or Document Picker Access
Used only when you choose to open, save, import, export, or manage files through Apple’s document system.
DeMinds does not use these permissions to collect personal data.
7. In-App Purchases
DeMinds may offer optional paid features or subscriptions through Apple’s In-App Purchase system.
Payments, billing, refunds, subscription management, and purchase history are handled by Apple.
DeMinds does not collect or store your payment card information.
8. Third-Party Services and Components
DeMinds may use open-source or third-party software components to provide app functionality, such as file parsing, Markdown rendering, document conversion, interface rendering, or structured visualization.
These components run as part of the app and do not cause DeMinds to collect your personal data.
If DeMinds adds any third-party service in the future that collects personal data, this Privacy Policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated accordingly.
9. Analytics, Advertising, and Tracking
DeMinds does not use third-party advertising SDKs.
DeMinds does not show third-party advertisements.
DeMinds does not track users across apps or websites.
DeMinds does not sell or share personal data for advertising purposes.
DeMinds does not use personal data to build advertising profiles.
10. Children’s Privacy
DeMinds is a general productivity application and is not specifically directed to children.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Because DeMinds does not require an account and does not collect personal data through the app, we do not knowingly process children’s personal data.
11. Data Security
DeMinds follows a local-first design. Your data primarily relies on the security protections of your device, operating system, app sandbox, and any storage location you choose, such as local storage or iCloud Drive.
You are responsible for maintaining backups of important files and for protecting access to your device and Apple ID.
We recommend that you keep your device operating system updated and use system-level security features such as passcode, Touch ID, or Face ID where available.
12. International Users
DeMinds is available in multiple countries and regions.
Because DeMinds does not collect personal data through the app, we do not transfer your personal data to our own servers.
If you use Apple services such as iCloud Drive or In-App Purchase, those services are provided by Apple and may involve data processing according to Apple’s own policies.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect product changes, legal requirements, or operational updates.
If we make material changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date above.
Continued use of DeMinds after a Privacy Policy update means you accept the updated policy.
